Obituary

Minnie I. Lightcap, 92, Sheperdstown, WV., passed away April 11, 2026. Born October 23, 1933, to the late Ira and Carrie (Emerick) Emerick. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Lightcap. Daughter, Susan Tillett; Brothers, Dewey, Roger, Homer and Francis; sisters, Maretta and Janet.

Minnie is survived by her children, Deborah Cullison and Joseph Lightcap Jr.; she also has 13 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren; plus, many nieces and nephews.

She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved planting flowers and crocheting. Family will receive friends on Thursday April 16^th from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA. 15545. Pastor Terry Campbell will be officiating the service and internment will be at the MT. Zion Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
