Obituary

Ralph H. Housel, 94, Buffalo Mills, PA, died Thursday February 13, 2014 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.
Born November 7, 1919 in Buffalo Mills, he was a son of the late John and Gertude (Miller) Housel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Erma “Virgie” (Roudabush) Housel, a brother, George Housel; sisters, Pearl Miller, Mae Zimmerman, Mary Smoker, and Nettie Berkebile.
Survived by children, Dean Housel and wife Dolores of Carlisle, Bill Housel and wife Dorothy, Ben Housel and wife Donna both of Buffalo Mills, Freda Brown and husband Earl of Bedford, and Velda Walsh of Chambersburg, eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mr. Housel was a logger and farmer all his life. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church and the Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church. He also belonged to The Patriotic Order Sons of America

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Griffith officiating

Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church, C/O Richard Barkley, 5804 Diehl Rd., Manns Choice, PA 15550.
