Obituary

Ranker, Ray J., 79, Hyndman, passed away September 10, 2026. Born June 29, 1947, to the late Harvey C. and Marian (Shirey) Ranker. He was also preceded in death by sister, Anna Lee Wambaugh; grandson; Christopher Ranker.

Ray was survived by his loving wife of 53 years Susan (Shroyer) Ranker; children, Scotty (Meggan) Ranker, Royce Ranker and Jill Ranker; grandchildren, Amber Kelly, John Kelly, Liala Ranker and Sierra Wood; sister, Virginia Merritt; brothers, Robert, Gary and Richard Ranker. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray was U.S. Army Veteran where he served in Vietnam. He enjoyed the outdoors and deer hunting. Ray loved his family very much and loved enjoyed spending time with them. There will be a gathering time on September 16, 2026, from 1pm until time of the memorial service at 3pm, at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA 15545.
