Obituary

Clites, Robert L. 77, Hyndman, passed away February 9, 2026. Born June 19, 1948, to the late Samuel and Idella (Weimer) Clites. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Lettie (Stahlman) Clites; brother, Samuel Jr. and Kenneth Clites; sister, Barbara Ackerman.

He was survived by children, Kevin (Jill) Clites and Robyn (Jason) Stiffler; grandchildren, Madison and Nicholas Clites, Landen Meyers, and Jolee Stafford; brother, John Leydig; sisters, Shirley Pederson (Guy), Debra Ranker (Richard), Carol Henderson (John), Elsie Knotts, Joyce Knotts, and Norma Logsdon (Jack) and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a member of the Faith Community Church, Kennell Mills Sportsman Club, American Legion Post 113. Robert drove truck for many years before working and retiring from the Western Maryland Health system.  He also enjoyed his grandchildren and spending time with them. He also liked following local racing and reading. He was a Air Force Veteran where he was a mechanic.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 15^th, 2026, from 1-3pm and again 5-7pm at the Harvey H. Zeigler Home, at 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16^th, 2026, at 11am at the Harvey H. Zeigler Home. Interment will be at Comps Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Homes.
