Obituary

Robert L. Emerick, 71, of Fairhope, died of natural causes, Sunday, January 30, 2011, at his home.

Born May 17, 1939, in Fairhope; he was a son of the late Frank S. and Alice Jane (Baker) Emerick.

Mr. Emerick is survived by two sons, Dale L. Emerick and Darrell, L. Emerick both of Fairhope; a granddaughter, Nichole Emerick of Myersdale; a half sister, Lulu Belle (Emerick) Kennell of Ellerslie, MD and a very special friend, Martha Whitford and her family of Hyndman.

Mr. Emerick was a US Army Veteran. He owned and operated Robert L. Emerick Logging for many years. He was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen s Club and attended Bible Gospel Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fay E. Leydig officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery, Southampton Twp.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral expenses.
