Obituary

Hite, Roger Lee, 72, Ellerslie, passed away February 13, 2026. Born December 11, 1953, to the late Eugene and Colleen (Scritchfield) Hite. Also preceded in death by brothers, Larry and Robert Hite; brother in-law, Keith Johnson. He was survived by his loving wife Patricia (Shoemaker) Hite; children, Joshua (Kyia) Hite and Jessicia Hite; grandchildren, Presten Hite, Tyler Dawson, Jalen Hite, Jaise Hite, Allison Hite and Eli Deneen; great grandchildren, Jaxson Hite and Elaina Cuff; sisters, Diane (Tim) Riggin and Beverley Johnson, numerous niece and nephews. Roger is a proud U.S. Navy veteran where he served USS Bordelon. He worked for the Pennsylvania Turnpike and then helped run the Ellerslie Traven. Roger was a very loving husband and grandfather and enjoyed sending time with family. Family will receive friends on February 17th from 11am until time of service at 1pm at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA 15545.
