Obituary

Hyndman, PA Roxann M. Lafferty, 82, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born October 7, 1930 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Ivan L. and Ada E. (Kiser) Willison. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Willison; and a sister, Dorothy Stuart.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Homer Lafferty, whom she married February 23, 1957; a son Michael Lafferty and wife Diana; a granddaughter, Amber Lafferty, all of Hyndman; a sister, Delores Thomas and husband Robert of Cumberland; brothers, Freddie Willison and wife Pat; Robert Willison and wife Sylva of Hyndman; sister-in-law, Carol Willison, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

Roxie worked at the Harclerode Fve and Dime, she was an operator for United Telephone in Virginia, a clerk at G.C. Murphy, McCrory’s and Bon Ton. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the Grace Women’s Society, Order of Eastern Star, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Hyndman Senior Center. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Nagy officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman.
