Obituary

Shirley I. Emerick, 75, of Hyndman passed away Tuesday January 9, 2024 at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born December 8, 1948 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Twigg) Clites. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Emerick, a brother, Woodrow Clites Sr.
Survived by children, Wayne E. Emerick Jr., Jesse Emerick and wife Avelene, Cynthia Willison and husband David, Mary Rebecca Emerick, Danielle Emerick-Engle and husband Tylor; sisters, Laura Headley, Esther Gentry and Marguerite Crawford; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley attended Bedford Church of the Nazarene. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and loved her church.
A celebration of life will be held Friday January 12, 2024 at 4 pm at Bedford Church of the Nazarene, 620 W. Penn St., Bedford with Pastor Chris Lyons officiating.
Burial will be private at Comps Cemetery.
