Obituary

Hyndman, PA—Terry L. Elliott, 69, of Hyndman, PA, went to be with his Lord on May 7,2026, at his home in Hyndman, PA.

Born on July 25, 1956, he was the son of the late Jimmy T. and Evelyn (Burkett) Elliott. On April 24, 1976. He married the love of his life, Debbie K. (Emerick), who survives. He is also survived by his sons Nathan (April) of Bedford, Aaron (Jessica) of Davidsville; grandchildren Austin, Jeremiah, AaliyahRae, and Jonah; sisters LuAnn (Jim) and Sarah (Gregg); sister-in-law Kathy (Rod); several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Duke.

Terry was trained as a welder by Grove in Greencastle, PA, subsequently working for Four Guys in Meyersdale, Cumberland Cement and Supply, and eventually for PennDot. He volunteered as a coach with the Little Stinger Elementary Wrestling program for many years. He was a member of the Hyndman Londonderry Lions Club, the Hyndman Ministerium, and the Hyndman Camp Association, where he also served as president. In his spare time, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending races.

He ministered as the Pastor at Central Christian Church in Hyndman since 2008. Terry loved the Lord with all his heart and wanted everyone he knew to also know his Lord

and Savior Jesus Christ. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, on Monday, May 11, from 5 to 8pm and on Tuesday, May 12, from 11am to noon, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will be at the Hyndman Cemetery.

Officiating the service will be his son Pastor Nathan Elliott of Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Hyndman and his brother-in-law Pastor Rodney Spiker of Grace United Methodist Church, also in Hyndman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hyndman Camp Association. Checks can be made payable to Hyndman Camp Association and mailed to PO Box 381, Hyndman, PA 15545.

The family would like to thank all those who provided transportation during Terry’s recent kidney dialysis treatments, the staff at UPMC Cumberland, and everyone who has reached out in tangible acts of love, support, and prayers.
