Obituary

Mowry, Vernon W. 83, Hyndman, passed away September 6, 2025. Born July 9, 1942, to the Glenn and Lucille (Carpenter) Mowry. Vernon is also preceded in death by his wife Marian (Bridges) Mowry. Brother, Lewis Mowry.

Vernon was survived by children, Glenda (Andrew) Salonish, Brenda (Timothy)Cessna, Vernon Jr.” Wally” (Ann) Mowry, and Lewis Mowry; sisters, Gretta May and Nancy Darrow:  there are seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Vernon was a veteran of the US Navy where he proudly served. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Vernon is going to be sadly missed by his family. Family will receive friends on Sunday September 14, 2025, from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home at 169 Clarence Street Hyndman, PA. 15545. A private burial will follow Monday.
