Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Wilma “Granny” June Stouffer, 97 of Hyndman passed away peacefully Wednesday December 14, 2016 at her home.
Born June 6, 1919 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Claude and Anna (Logsdon) Brotemarkle. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 2008, Wilbert “Web” Lybarger Stouffer; a granddaughter, Stephanie Messenger; a son-in-law, Mervin Pensyl; sisters, Geraldine Brotemarkle, Jacqueline Wechtenhiser and a brother, Lambert Brotemarkle.
Survived by a son, Stephen L. Stouffer and wife Alice; a daughter, Jane L. Pensyl all of Hyndman; three grandchildren, Scott Stouffer and wife Shelly; Jill Clites and husband Kevin all of Hyndman, Jeff Stouffer and wife Diana of Bridgewater, NJ; a special grandson through marriage, Mark Messenger of Hyndman; seven great grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Spencer Messenger, Madison and Nicholas Clites, Banks Stouffer, and Alex and Zachary Stouffer and numerous nieces and nephews.
She worked at the Fairfoot Shoe Factory and the Celanese Corp. She also was a homemaker and babysat her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Hyndman, where she served on the Board of Trustees and taught Sunday School for over 45 years. She was also Sunday School Treasurer.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday December 16, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday December 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Haines officiating.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery
