Buffalo Mills, PA  Arthur C. Booher, 91 of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord Thursday July 28, 2011, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

Born July 27, 1920, in Bristol, VA; a son of the late Earnest C. and Mary E. (Mobly) Booher. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, and a son, Paul Warchalowski.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley R. (Polhamus) Booher; sons, Ernie Booher of Ft. Myers, FL, Cecil Booher of Greentown, PA; daughters, Vickie Hicks and husband Terry of Christiansburg, OH, Mary Phelps and husband Don of Acworth, GA, Shirley Zombar and Sheryl Faucet both of Virginia Beach, VA, Pauline Wheeler of Sykesville, MD, Paulette Earp and husband Russell “Buddy” of Woodbine, MD; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mr. Booher retired Technical Sergeant from the US Air Force. He also served in the US Army Air Force. He served in both WWII and Korea during his 20 years of combined service.

After his military career he worked for the Bedford Intermediate School as a custodian. He was a member of Gravel Pit United Methodist Church. He was Club Manager, Post Service Officer and Past Commander of the Hyndman VFW Oscar Jordan Post7375 and the American Legion in New Jersey.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Reverends Sharletta Green and Kenneth Haines officiating.

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, with military Honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.
