Obituary

Arvada Ruth Imler, 85, of Cumberland, formerly of Kennells Mill, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Golden Living Center, Cumberland.

Born October 3, 1924, in Kennells Mill, she was a daughter of the late Roy E. and Naomi B. (Emerick) Kennell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Belmont Imler Sr., a son, Duane D. Imler, a grandson, Mark A. “Little Tony” Imler Jr.; brothers, John and Stanley Kennell; sisters, Idella Lucero, Madeline Dom and Emma Bittner.

She is survived by a daughter, Gloria M. Frazier and husband Jonnie “Chip” of Murrells Inlet, SC; sons, Floyd B. Imler Jr. and wife Ginny of Kennells Mill, Mark A. “Tony” Imler Sr. and special friend Christina of Fairhope; five grandchildren, Johnnie Frazier, Floyd B. Imler III, Jason Imler and Heather Dennison; ten great-grandchildren, a brother, Gerald Kennell and wife Ilene of Kennells Mill; sisters, Alzene Sweitzer of Cumberland, Frances Troutman and husband Richard, Marion Romesburg, and Marybelle White all of Kennells Mill.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastors Ken Korns and Stevie Leydig officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery, Southampton Twp., Somerset County, PA.
