Cleda M. Sturtz, 80, of Wellersburg, died Saturday March 23, 2013, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born June 16, 1932, in Somerset County; she was a daughter of the late Garfield W. and Lucy M. (Blank) Bittner. Preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert Bittner; sisters, Alzene Bittner, Marie Popalo, and Alberta Uhl.

She is survived by a son, Larry J. “Lou” Sturtz and wife, Brenda (McKenzie), Mount Savage, MD; daughters, Carol A. Speelman and husband, Thomas, York Haven, PA, and Tammy M. Sturtz and fianc, Joe Bridges, Mount Savage; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Sturtz was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Mt. Savage.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour immediately prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, March 28th, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Korns officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD with Mike, Dwayne and Matthew Speelman, Brandan and Joshua Sturtz and Matthew Robertson serving as pallbearers.
