Obituary

Donald W. Pensyl Sr., 73, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 9, 2009 at his residence.

Born September 2, 1936, in Harrison Township, he was a son of the late Orange Delbert and Lovada Pearl (Coughenour) Pensyl. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Margaret Louise Pensyl, sisters, Hazel Schilling, Helen Dneaster, Dorothy Roach, Irene Shifflet, Ethel Bostwick, Doris Smith; brothers, Charles Pensyl, and Douglas Pensyl.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara G. (Lewis) Pensyl, whom he married February 21, 1964; a son Donald W. “Jock” Pensyl Jr. of Buffalo Mills; a daughter, Sue Ellen High and husband Paul of Osterburg; a foster daughter, Carrie Brown of Buffalo Mills; three grandchildren, Kodi Pensyl of Augusta, WV, Derrick and Darius High of Osterburg; a brother, Melvin “Gene” Pensyl and wife Dorothy “Dot” of Baltimore, MD; sister and niece Shirley Mowry and husband Ted of Schellsburg; and a brother in law, Carl Smith and wife Alice of Buffalo Mills.

Mr. Pensyl worked in the wheel room at Hedstrom retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of Milligans Cove Christian Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Russell Hoffman officiating

Burial will follow at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice, PA.
