Obituary

Kennells Mill, PA – Doris G. Emerick, 82, of Kennells Mill, PA went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 17, 2011, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born September 10, 1928, in Southampton Twp., Somerset County; she was a daughter of the late Carl T. and Alverda I. (Emerick) Shroyer. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bonnie Jane Emerick; brothers, Kenneth, Fay and Gary Shroyer.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Chester E. Emerick, sisters, Marlene Hosselrode and Alice Troutman of Kennells Mill; and many nieces and nephews.

Doris was a member of Comps Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Saturday From 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday at Comps Church from 1 to 2 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Comps Church on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Roger Huffman, Rev. Fay Leydig and Rev. Ken Korns officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery with Elroy, Troy and Royce Shroyer, Marvin and Alvin Hosselrode, John, Mark and Todd Miller serving as pallbearers.
