Elmer L. Hordubay Sr.

Manns Choice, PA – Elmer L. Hordubay Sr., 85, of Manns Choice went to be with the Lord Saturday April 5, 2014, at UPMC Shadyside.
Born August 12, 1928, in Fairhope; he was a son of the late Peter Hordubay Jr. and Ruth M. (Browning) Hordubay Clites. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Connie L. Hordubay; his wife, Garnette (Taylor) Hordubay; a son-in-law, Marlin Castello Sr.; a step father, Harry Ernest Clites; a brother, Cyrus Hordubay and an infant sister.
He is survived by a son, Elmer L. Hordubay Jr. and wife Victoria of Frostburg, MD; daughters, Laura M. Castello of Fairhope, Paula A. Wargo and husband Robert of Towanda, PA and Lisa K. Tomlinson and husband Jeffrey of Buffalo Mills, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and his former wife, Maud L. (Ritchey) Hordubay of Fairhope.
Mr. Hordubay was a truck driver for George Transfer and retired after 30 years of service. He also worked in the coal mines and was a laborer for US Steel and the Celanese Corp. He was a member of the Crossroads Bible Church and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and being outdoors enjoying God’s creations. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral expenses.
