Ethel Loretta Snyder
Hyndman, PA Ethel L. Snyder, 95 of Hyndman, died Tuesday June 18, 2013, Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born August 31, 1917, in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Lester and Zora (Bohn) Leydig; she was also preceded in death by her husband Walter “Pete” Snyder; an infant daughter, Betty Jo Snyder; grandson, Leonard “Lenny” Kendall; brothers, Clyde and Herbert Leydig.
Survived by a daughter, Janet Kendall and husband David “Sam” of Ellerslie; granddaughters, Tonyia L. Miller and husband Roger of Thurmont, MD, Angela Kendall Ashenfelter and friend Mark “Moag” Layman of Ellerslie, granddaughter in law, Maria Kendall of Fayetteville, NC; great grandchildren, Aaron Kendall, Daniel Miller and Samantha Ashenfelter; a brother, Theodore Leydig of Fossilville; a special friend, Tina Kendall of Cresaptown ;and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Snyder was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hyndman. She worked at the Fairfoot Shoe Factory and Clinebelle Bakery
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating
Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center, Attn. Kim Johnson, 48 Tarn Terrace, Frostburg, MD 21532 to help with the bird feeders and garden.
The family would like to thank the staff at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab Center for their loving care, especially Diane Smith, former Chaplin at the center.
