Hyndman, PA – Frank H. Stahlman, 89, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born September 16, 1923, in State Line, PA; he was a son of the late Banks and Bessie (Davis) Stahlman. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Robinson and Geraldine Kelly; brothers, Audley “Jake” and James Stahlman.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosalee (Campbell) Stahlman, whom he married November 30, 1962; children, Becky Shaffer and husband Ron, Frank H. “Huck” Stahlman Jr. and wife Lisa, Lettie Sue Clites and husband Robert, Shelly Stouffer and husband Scott, Jodi Emerick and husband Jody all of Hyndman; a brother, Curtis Stahlman of Everett; sisters, Ann Horner and Donna Shaffer both of Hyndman; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stahlman served in the US Army during WWII. He owned and operated Stahlman Service Center where he did auto repair and sold John Deere Equipment. In 1984 his family opened Hobo’s Restaurant.
Frank was a member of the Hyndman VFW Oscar Jordon Post 7375, and the Hyndman Masonic Lodge 589 F&AM. He attended Gravel Pit United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Nagy officiating.
Burial will follow at Cooks Mill Cemetery with military honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.
