Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Geraldine L. Lafferty, 84, of Hyndman, died Monday May 28, 2012, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.

Born May 13, 1928, in Hyndman, PA; she was a daughter of the late Charles and Bessie S. (Lowery) Sisler. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Kelly; sisters, Sylvia Bragg, Freda Wilson, and Helen Sisler; brothers, Allan “Bud” and William Sisler.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly Spudich and husband David of Acosta, PA, Betty Ankeny and husband Bill of Warfordsburg, PA, Brenda Lafferty and partner Diane Viar of Hyndman; grandchildren, Shane Kelly, Marissa Spudich, Michelle Coates, and Jennifer Fink.

Geraldine worked at Standard Register for 12 years and then became a CNA and worked for the Bedford Community Nursing Agency. She was a member of Central Christian Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1pm with Pastor Terry Elliott officiating

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman, PA
