Hyndman, PA  Hattie Mary (Patfield) Gorsuch, 95, of Hyndman, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at her residence.

Born February 11, 1916, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethyl (O’Grady) Patfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Leroy Gorsuch in 1965; a son-in-law, John Alden Lowery; and 11 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Gorsuch Lowery of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Steven Joseph Lowery and wife, Jennifer of Cincinnati, OH; Christopher John Lowery and partner, Gary of Washington D.C., and Carol Ann Falso and husband, Scott of Syracuse, NY; three great grandchildren, Lucy Falso, Mia and Juliet Lowery; a brother, Bobby Patfield of Cleveland, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gorsuch had worked as a seamstress at Lazarus Department Store and Evelyn Barton Brown Clothing. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. She enjoyed both her vegetable and flower gardens and sewing. Her family was her life and she enjoyed spending time with them.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Steve Fernandes O.F.M.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD.
