Helen L. Lafferty
Buffalo Mills, PA Helen L. Lafferty, 86, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Pennknoll Village in Everett.
Born October 18, 1927 in Buffalo Mills; she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Deremer) Ringler. She was also preceded in death by husband, Joseph Lafferty in 2010, sisters, Rose Pensyl and Pearline Brooks and a grandson-in-law, Steven Engle.
She is survived by a son, Donald Lafferty and wife Debra of Buffalo Mills, a daughter, Janet Miller and husband George of Hyndman; four grandchildren, Heather Berkey and husband, Jeff of Mifflinville, PA, Jeff Lafferty and wife, Crystal of Hyndman, Holly Stair and husband, Justin of Hyndman and Heidi Engle of Fairhope, and 10 great grandchildren; a brother, George Ringler and wife Darlene of Conway, SC; a sister, Irene Duppstadt and husband Homer of Buffalo Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was a member of Central Christian Church, Hyndman. She worked at the Bedford High School and at the Exact Level Factory for 20 years. She enjoyed mowing her grass, gardening, studying the bible and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 am. The family will also receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery.
