John Charles Miller, Jr., 59 of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born February 6, 1951, in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of John C. Sr. and Mildred E. (Campbell) Miller. He is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda C. (Lewis) Miller, whom he married July 18, 1970; his mother, Mildred E. Miller of Hyndman, sons, John C. Miller III and wife, Magdalene, Mark Miller and wife, Lori both of Hyndman; daughter, Julie McKenzie and husband, David of Frostburg, son, Todd Miller and wife, Joni of Hyndman, 13 grandchildren, John IV, Eli, Jesse, Jordyn, Marissa, Kylie, Riley, Zachary, David, Austin, Gracee, Lucas, and Layni; a brother, David Miller and wife, Barbara of Galway, NY; a sister, Linda Spinks and husband, Louis of Germantown, MD, several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Rusty Spike, his German Sheppard.

Mr. Miller served in the US Army in Vietnam. He worked at New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company in the equipment maintenance department. He was also a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Ellerslie.

Friends will be received at the Calvary Bible Church, 13901 South Gardner Avenue, Ellerslie on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Calvary Bible Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ken Korns and Rev. Greg Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman, PA, with military honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Red Cross or American Cancer Society.
