Fort Ashby, WV Joyce Hope Satzer, 82, of Fort Ashby, WV, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Allegany Nursing and Rehab, Cumberland, MD.
Born February 21, 1932, in Denison, TX; she was a daughter of the late Will Ervin and Lillie Mae (Harpe) Davis. She was also preceded in death by sons, Robert W. and John A. Satzer; brothers, John “JK”, Ollie and Herbert Davis; sisters, Ellerine Mullis, Phyllis Smith, and Mary Ruth Holbrook.
Survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert L. Satzer, whom she married Sept. 3, 1952; sons, Larry R. Satzer and wife Marsha of Fayetteville, NC, Gary L. Satzer and wife Wanda of Hyndman; a daughter-in-law, Hye Suk Satzer of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Eloise Cook of Denison, TX; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Joyce was an Executive Secretary at Kelly Springfield Tire and a clerk at Bon Ton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hyndman.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 3 to 6 pm where a service will follow at 6 with Rev. Kenneth Haines and Pastor Terry Elliott officiating.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
