Largo, Fl – Lena S. Arnold McGee, 91 of Largo, Fl, formerly of Hyndman and Roaring Spring, PA, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Washington Adventist Hospital, Takoma Park, MD.

Born September 6, 1919, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Millard G. and Kate N. (Reese) Shaffer. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Robert L. Arnold in 1978 and Charles W. McGee in 1996; sisters, Dorothy N. DeVore and Martha I. Cook.

She is survived by daughters, Kate L. Riggs and husband, Paul of Largo, FL; a granddaughter, Shelly A. Conine and husband, Robert of Silver Spring, MD; two great grandchildren, Robert Conine Jr. of Bethesda, MD and Ashley Conine of Silver Spring, MD; a sister Datha A. Burkett of Manns Choice, a brother, Wayne A. Shaffer of Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McGee had worked at the Celanese Corp. and also delivered Meals on Wheels in the Hyndman area. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Hyndman, Roaring Spring Mennonite Church, and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Avon Park, FL. She was also a member of the Hyndman Grange and co-hosted with her sister Dorothy the Pat and Dot county variety show on WTBO every Saturday morning for many years.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Caleb Shaffer officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
