Mark Allan Cook
Ellerslie, MD Mark Allan Cook, 43, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 1, 2014, as a result of a severe asthma attack.
Born April 30, 1971, in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of James E. Cook and Sandra (Jordan) Corbin. He is preceded in death by his father, James; and step father, Ernie Corbin Jr.; grandparents, Ruby and Jim Jordan; and good friend, Jason Bidinger.
Survived by his mother, Sandy and special friend Gary “Termite” Spiker of Ellerslie, a brother, Christopher Corbin, a sister, Deanna Cook and friend Daryl Swartwood of Hagerstown; a special niece, Jada Sue Smith; his only daughter, Caitlyn Ryanne Cook, 16 years old of Corriganville, MD. She was the sunshine of his life and was his pride and joy. There were also special people in his life, Chrissy Troutman who was his best friend and never turned her back on him, and his favorite cousin and friend, Michelle Sisk; also good friend and pastor, Stevie Leydig and family.
Mark graduated from Hyndman High in 1990. He had various jobs in his life time, Wilbert Vault Company and Twiggs Plumbing were his favorite ones. Mark loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting mushrooms. He was also a very good artist.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Stevie Leydig officiating.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer expenses for the family.
Mark had many struggles during his lifetime and he reached out for help, because of his faith and his daughter he made it.
