Mark Anthony Headley, 41, of Bedford, formerly of Hyndman, passed away, Saturday, December 5, 2009.

He was born February 14, 1968, in Cumberland, MD. He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Whitford Jr. and his biological mother, Leda Headley; and a great nephew, Lance Greise.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Whitford of Bedford, two sisters, Susan Bridges and husband Doug of Beans Cove, Connie Whitford and husband Greg Voegele of Hyndman; three brothers, James R. Whitford III of Hyndman, Shane R. Whitford and wife Bobbie Jo, US Navy, Groton CT, James K. Headley, US Army, Georgia; six nieces, Heather Logue and husband Jason, Beans Cove, Carrie Whitford, Misty Greise and husband Brandon all of Hyndman, Alisha Sciranko and husband George of Manns Choice, Kesha Keel and husband Justin of Bedford, Shelby Whitford of Groton, Ct; five nephews, Michael Logsdon and special friend Ashley Clites of Hyndman, Andy Bridges and wife Jess of Beans Cove, James R. Whitford IV of Hagerstown, Steven Hirschman of California, Duncan Whitford of Groton, Ct.; nine great nieces, Jazlyn, Jillyan and Jaidyn Logue, Breanna Turner, Brooke Mickey, Courtney and Taryn Greise, Isabella Bridges, Daisy Keel; eight great nephews, Jacob Logue, Bryan and Joey Hott, Connor Whitford, Blaze Turner, Gunner Lehman, B.J. Greise and Damien Martelli; and his best friends, Allan, Derrick, and Carter.

He was an active member of the Moose Lodge #480. He was Christian by faith. He passed from a heart attack in Hyndman. He was a very loving and caring man who loved children and all living things. He had many friends and was a brother to all he met. He will be missed by all who knew him and he is now an angel watching over us. We love you.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lance Tucker officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery with Andy Bridges, Michael Logsdon, Jim Whitford III, James Whitford IV, Shane Whitford, Greg Voegele, Jason Logue and Allan Roarbaugh serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
