Paul David DeVore, 86, of Ellerslie, MD went to be with the Lord Monday June 6, 2011 at his residence.

He was born February 26, 1925 in Ellerslie; a son of the late David and Mary Elizabeth (Lowery) DeVore. He was also preceded in death by a son, Samuel H. Devore; a brother Russell W. DeVore, who was killed in action during WWII, a sister, Genieva Devore and a half sister, Helen Plumber.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Polana (Runions) DeVore, whom he married October 26, 1956, a son, Russell D. “Rusty” DeVore and wife Annette of Hyndman; a daughter, Mary P. Robertson and husband Tommy of Mount Savage; four grandchildren, Emily Devore, Jesse Litten, Andy and Nikki Gardelle; and four great grandchildren, Bryce, Lena, Jackson, and Iralyn.

Paul was a Float Attendant for PPG retiring after 20 plus years of service. He served in the US Army during WWII with the third army under General Patton. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church and the DAV.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Calvary Bible Church.

A funeral service will be conducted at Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie, MD on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns and Pastor Greg Miller officiating.

Burial will follow at Porters Cemetery.
