Philomene S. Bonner, 89, of Hyndman, passed away Monday December 17, 2012, at Donahoe Manor.

Born March 5, 1923, in Hyndman; a daughter of the late Lloyd and Tolva (Miller) Shaffer.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Bonner Sr.; sisters, Irene Dunbar, Mary Shaffer, Winifred Christner; and a brother, Ray Shaffer.

Survived by step children, Robert Bonner Jr. and Karen Hogan; a sister, Jean McCoy, of Hyndman; brothers, Vernon and Arden Shaffer of Hyndman and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bonner retired from GTE Corp in Connecticut where she was the secretary for the Vise President.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Nagy officiating.

Burial will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Garden, Timonium, MD
