Reggie “Bill” Kenneth Minnick
Philippi, WV – Reggie “Bill” Kenneth Minnick, 71 of Philippi, WV, passed away Thursday October 10, 2013 at his residence.
Born September 6, 1942 in Hyndman, PA; he was a son of the late Raymond Sr. and Myrtle Marie (Smeak) Minnick. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Richard, Robert, and Lloyd Minnick; and a sister, Grace Minnick.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy (Lewis) Minnick; children, Brenda Hale and husband, Desi, of Cleveland, OH; Steven Minnick and wife Carla of Century, WV; Vincent Roy Minnick of Berona Island, ME; Ralph Edward Lewis and wife Mary of Manassas, VA; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Bill was an active duty Army National Guard. He served as chief of Police of Hyndman, was a Bedford County Sheriff Deputy and a Bedford County Constable. He also worked for Anker Energy (Sentinel Mine) where he retired.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Caleb Shaffer officiating.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
