Robert G. Cwynar

Robert G. Cwynar, 64, of Hyndman, PA, formerly of 2 Ann Street, New Castle passed away, in his sleep after a long illness on Tuesday February 1, 2011. He lived with his sister Eileen Cwynar Emerick and her husband Earl “June” in Hyndman, PA. Bob received the best of care; that even his mother would have approved. Bob received a kidney transplant, 33 years ago, from his brother Tom.

Bob Attended Union Area High School and received his GED while working at Lark Enterprises Inc. refinishing furniture.

Born August 22, 1946. Bob was the son of the late Casimir and Helen (Pelc) Cwynar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law William J. Beadling.

Bob always had a smile on his face, and a good word for everyone. He loved to play bingo, go to casinos and was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and Pitt Panthers. Bob could tell you whatever you wanted to know of any sports team. He also enjoyed watching golf, especially Tiger Woods.

He is survived by his loving family of brothers, Walter (Patricia) of Folsom, CA, Tom (Sue) Cwynar of Canton Ohio, and sister Eileen Cwynar Emerick (Earl) of Hyndman, PA. Other survivors are niece, and God daughter, Cheryl Cwynar (Serafin) Garcia, and their family, Tina, Joey, and Nick Garcia of Folsom CA. Nephew, Tyler Emerick of Hyndman PA.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Friends will also be received at the Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Mother of Hope Parish, at 12:00 Noon with burial at the Madonna Cemetery.
