Robert Louis Getz, 92, of Largo, FL, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Sabal Palms Health Care Center.

Born July 6, 1920 in Kennells Mill, PA; he was a son of the late John B. and Viola E. (Kennell) Getz. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jay Getz.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Lorraine (Kreigline) Getz, whom he married March 30, 1946; daughters, Patricia Crawford (Edward), Louisiana; Deborah Haman, Florida and Robin Enfinger, Florida. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and brother, John P. Getz, Hyndman; sisters, Mary L. Diehl, Manns Choice and Joan P. Murray, Corrigansville.

Mr. Getz served in the US Army during WWII. He had worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 50 years at various locations and at the Philadelphia Philly’s Training Center in Clearwater, FL for 20 years. He was a member of the VFW in Hyndman and Florida and was a 5 time Past Master Mason. His greatest achievement was being the greatest husband and father and was a good friend to many.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10a.m.

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery.
