Obituary

Buffalo Mills, PA Slinda Jane Chaney, 90, of Buffalo Mills, PA, died Tuesday, October 10, 2012 at Hospice House, Somerset.

Born January 1, 1922, in Green Spring, WV; she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Ammie (Twigg) Chaney.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Henry, Fred, Luther, Joe and Charles Chaney; sisters, Alma Ohler and Ruth Chaney.

Survived by sisters, Elsie Benning and husband Ralph of Windber, Judy Nicholson and husband Harold of Berlin; and many nieces and nephews and a lot of family that loved her.

Slinda enjoyed baking homemade bread, listening to her CB radio and scanner.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11a.m. with the Evangelist Chad Fatula officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral expenses.
