Walter R. Myers, 82, Fairhope, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.

Born April 4, 1930, in Fairhope; he was a son of the late Ralph T. and Ada (Turner) Meyers. He was also preceded in death by a wife, Shirley (Clinedinst) Chaney Myers in 2006; sisters, Bertha May and Rehona Miller
He served in the US Army during Korea.

Surviving are step sons, Kenneth Chaney and wife Bonnie of Buffalo Mills, Paul Chaney and wife Connie of Berlin, Jesse Chaney of Fairhope; a brother, Ralph Meyers Jr. and wife Mary of Fairhope; sisters, Hazel Linger of Charlotte, NC; Lillian Sarver and husband Ron of Hyndman.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday from 11am to 1 pm where a funeral service will follow at 1pm. Burial at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice.
