Obituary

Aaron Lane Ahlburn, 47, of Chicago, IL, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023.

Born in Cumberland; he was the son Lane J. and Kathy (Shroyer) Ahlburn of Ellerslie. Survived by his parents; sister, Andrea E. Goodpasture and husband Miles, and their son, Adam S. Goodpasture, all of Richardson, TX; and preceded in death by is maternal grandparents Irvin Jude and Mary Ellen Shroyer, and paternal grandparents Harry and Barbara Ahlburn and step-grandfather Richard Shaffer.

Aaron graduated from Mt. Savage High School in 1993 and received his BA degree in Economics and Business Administration from McDaniel College in 1997.

Aaron spent his career dedicated to corporate and industrial real estate with several prominent companies. Most recently, he worked as the Market Intelligence Lead, Global Logistics at Avison Young’s Chicago office. He was described by those that worked with him as a mentor and gentle soul with a positive disposition.

Early in his career, Aaron also had the opportunity to work in London, England, which fueled his love for global travel. He traveled extensively to multiple continents, hiked the Himalayan and Annapurna mountains, Mt Everest Base Camp, and Mt Kilimanjaro. Aaron was also an avid runner, having completed multiple marathons.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
