Hyndman, PA – Alma Mae Emerick, 88, of Hyndman, passed away Thursday October 2, 2014, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born April 22, 1926 in Cumberland, MD; she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel (Smith) Deremer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Emerick in 2009.

Survived by a daughter Diana L. Emerick of Hyndman; sons, Dennis P. Emerick and wife Susan of Palm Coast, FL, David R. Emerick and wife Barbara of Hyndman; two grandchildren, Jamie and Jason Emerick; four great grandchildren, Andrew, Brendon, Jaxon and Isabella Emerick.

Mrs. Emerick was secretary at the Queen City Dairy and Stroehmann Bakery. She served as Southampton Township secretary for many years. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She loved to spending time with her family.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating

Burial will be private.
