Hyndman, PA – Anna Lee Stair, 92, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord, Monday June 19, 2017 at her residence.

Born September 18, 1924 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late George and Elenora (Stouffer) Clark. Also preceded in death by her husband Gerald E. “Jerry” Stair in 2003; a son-in-law, Donald Messenger; brothers, James and John Clark. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survived by sons, Gerald L. “Jerry Lee” Stair and wife Kathy (Ritchey) of Hyndman and Perry A. Stair of Baltimore; daughters: Sandy K. Messenger and Debbie S. Stair, both of Hyndman; grandchildren: Toby Stair and friend Jamie Thomas, Mandi Emerick and husband Travis all of Hyndman, David Messenger and wife Beth of Ridgely, WV; Mark Messenger and wife Joan, Todd Messenger all of Hyndman; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; good friend, Betty Lowery; and faithful caregivers, Marlene Turner and Jenny Beal.

Mrs. Stair was a 1942 graduate of Hyndman High School. She was a member of the Cooks Mill United Methodist Church. She had worked at Kline’s Restaurant, Lazarus Department Store and the Armour Meat Company over the years.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, on Wednesday June 21, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday June 22, 2017  at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Sharletta Green officiating.

Interment will follow at Cooks Mill Cemetery, Hyndman.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cooks Mill United Methodist Church.
