Hyndman, PA – Barbara L. Metzner, 68, of Hyndman passed away Sunday March 10, 2019 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital.

Born July 29, 1950, in Wheeling, WV; she was a daughter of the late William and Wilda (McGlumphy) Doyle. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jody Lynn Metzner.

Survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph L. Metzner Sr, whom she married October 5, 1968, son, Joseph L. Metzner Jr., and his late wife, Carolyn (Flanagan), Hyndman; their daughter, Skye Metzner; Ellerslie; grandchildren, Kegan Metzner and wife Shania, Miranda Metzner, and their mother, Angela Logsdon, Hyndman; great grandchildren, Aalieyah and Taybren Logsdon; sister, Sharen Green and husband Homer, Franklin NC, brother William Doyle and wife Cindy, Bridgeport, OH; special friends, Benjie Biggs, Monna Wood, Brad and Tammy Guthrie; and several nieces and nephews.

Barb was a member of Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club, the L.V. Social Club, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was also known to many people as “Mrs. Sno Cone Joe”. She loved her grandchildren and was a wonderful wife and mother.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday march 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday, March 15, 2019  at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robin Kirchner officiating.

Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery.
