Keyser, WV – Barry Dietz, 64, formerly of Hyndman, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Born November 26, 1959, in Hyndman. He went to Heaven to be with his father, Harvey “Bud”, mother, Jean; brothers, Richard and Robert; sister Beverly Dietz.

Survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol J. (Dawson) Dietz; stepdaughter, Angie Ritchey and husband Justin, daughters, Deborah Dietz and boyfriend, Adam Mellott, Keri Walters and husband Robert, Theresa Dietz and fiancé Tyler Murphy; six grandchildren, Paige Coughenour, Shawn Connor Jr, Cayden Miller, Riley Hoover, Stella Mellott and Carson Coughenour, brothers, Ron, Bill, and Jerry Dietz; sisters, Rita Urice, Pam and Tammy Dietz; and many nieces and nephews.

Barry was a 1977 graduate of Hyndman High School. Those who knew Barry, knew the joy he had for fishing, especially at the Cumberland Damn and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for familys. He always said, “You’ll never find a lump in my potatoes.” He always liked to tell everyone “Let’s be getting it” and sang everywhere he went. He enjoyed laughing and the many rides he received from his friends and family.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Thursday February 1, 2024  from 2 to 4 p.m.; where a service will follow at 4p.m. with Pastor Stevie Leydig, officiating.
