Bernard L. Shroyer, 67, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Sunday September 1, 2024, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born May 3, 1957, in Cumberland; he was a son of the late John E. and Ruby V. (Emerick) Shroyer.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda (Hott) Shroyer, whom he married July 19, 1975; daughters, Stephanie Imler and husband Jason of Hyndman, Mindy Connors and husband Steven of Plant City, FL, LaDawn Rose and husband Daniel of Hyndman; grandchildren, Megan and Logan Imler, Hailee, Dylan, and Jonathan Rose, Michael Connors; sisters, Vickie Romesberg and husband Mike, Joann Sheirer and husband Doug, Tereca Shaffer and husband George, Tracie Logsdon and husband Jeff all of Hyndman and many nieces and nephews.

Bernard was a farmer, logger, heavy equipment operator, and Supervisor for Southampton Township. He owned and operated Shroyer’s Excavating and most recently he ran equipment for local coal companies including Fieg Brothers Coal. Bernard was a member of the Comps Church and a board member of the Kennell Mill Sportsman’s Club.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday September 5, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday September 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery.
