Hyndman, PA – Betty Jane (Kreigline) Sturtz, 87, of Hyndman died Saturday October 18, 2014 at In Touch Hospice, Somerset.

Born May 31, 1927 in Hyndman, PA; she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ida Bell (Bruck) Kreigline. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Raymond G. Sturtz in 2013; a son, David W. Sturtz; brothers, Donald and Devon Kreigline.

Survived by children, Beverly Needy and husband Robert of King George, VA, Gary Sturtz and special friend Doris Shroyer of Fairhope; Linda Cook and husband Bobby of Hyndman; Kathy Sturtz of Hyndman
Brothers, Robert Kreigline and wife Lois Jean of Chambersburg; James Kreigline of Boonsboro; sisters, Clara Kreigline of Hyndman, Phyllis Getz of Florida, Marlene Clites of Hyndman; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was a bartender at the Oscars Jordan VFW and the Hyndman Fire Club. She was a life member of the Ft. Bedford VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsman’s Club. She had a passion for BINGO and was an animal lover.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bev. Roscoe officiating

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills, PA.
