Betty Lou Harold Gibson, 95, of Cumberland, formerly of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord, Friday June 5, 2020 at the Kensington in Cumberland.

Born July 30, 1924 in Frederick, MD; she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lula (Conrad) Taylor. Also preceded in death by husbands, Dayton G. Harold Jr. in 1988 and Raymond Gibson Jr. in 2005; a son, John Harold in 2008; brothers, Clarence, Charles and Harry Taylor and sister, Margaret Hetrick.

Survived by children, Gary G. Harold and wife Debi of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; Linda S. Shroyer and husband Jay Jr of Hyndman; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Betty worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company where she was a purchasing buyer. She served as past Matron of Bedford Springs Order of Eastern Star, Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls, past president of the Hyndman PTA. She was a former member of the Cumberland American Legion, and the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday June 8, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday June 9, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Zickefoose officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
