Bobby Wayne Johnston, 72, of Titusville, Florida went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2020 after a long struggle with heart disease.

Born in Cumberland, MD on May 23, 1947. He was the son of the late James D. & Agnes “Bunch” (Knode) Johnston. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Barbara Johnston, who died in 2013.
He is survived by two brothers, James L. Johnston and wife Martha Jane Shaffer Johnston of Dunn, NC and Jan Johnston and wife Barbara of Titusville, FL and also a sister, Suzanne Johnston Emerick and husband R. Stephen Emerick of Hyndman, PA. Nephews, Dave Johnston of Dunn, NC and Joshua Emerick of Hyndman, PA, nieces, Dena Johnston Starling of Dunn, NC and Wendy Emerick Merkel of Hyndman, PA, Sarah Johnston of Titusville, FL and great nieces and nephews, Hunter, Dava, Aaron, Chase, Kelsey, Brielle, Luke, Morgan and Evelyn.

Bobby graduated from Hyndman High School. After High School he worked for Kinney Shoes in Greensburg, PA. Drove truck for Ben Franklin, was a long haul truck driver for a time before moving to
Titusville, FL, where he worked in the Hospitality Industry for many years. He worked as a manager in Hotels in North Dakota, St. Louis, MO, Texas, the Bahamas ending his career for many years at the Randolph Inn in Titusville, Fl until its closure. He then worked at Port Canaveral loading and unloading passengers from cruise ships.

Bobby and his wife Barbara loved to go on cruises and also visiting the Florida Keys. Bobby was a people person. He never met anyone that he could not strike up a conversation with. Bobby was always laughing and telling stories of all his exploits. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

At his request, he was cremated and a family graveside service will be held at a later date. He will be buried in the Hyndman Cemetery.
