Hyndman, PA – Bruce T. Deneen, 90, of Hyndman died August 9, 2018 at WMHS Regional Medical Center

Born September 8, 1927 in Hooversville, PA; he was a son of the late Walter Sr. and Esther M. (Baer) Deneen. Also preceded in death by wife, Alzene (Albright) Deneen in 2005; brothers, Leonard, Richard and Walter Deneen Jr.; sisters, Lois Smith and Anna Meyers.

Survived by brothers and a sister, Leroy “Boots” Deneen of Kennells Mill; Violet Shroyer of Buffalo Mills, Robert Deneen and wife Mary Ann of Hyndman, Clarence Deneen and wife Brenda of Fairhope and many nieces and nephews.

After graduation from Hyndman High School, Bruce served the US Navy during WWII. When he returned to Hyndman he worked at the B&O for a few years before enlisting in the US Marine Corps where he retired after 35 years of service as a Sargant Major and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Oscar Jordan VFW and attended Fairhope Community Church. For many year Bruce lived in Las Vegas and worked at the MGM Casino.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 2 to 4 where a funeral service will follow at 4pm with Pastor James Swauger officiating. Military Honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.

The family would like to thank Bruce’s caregivers Jessica, Kelly, Crystal, Mary, Bob, Clarence and Judy for all the help they provided over the last 10 years.
