Charles Earl Bush III, 76, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord Friday November 5, 2021 at his home.

Born February 13, 1945, in Cumberland; he was a son of the late Charles E. Jr and Gertrude “Trudy” (Benjamin) Bush. He is also preceded in death by a son, Jason C. Bush.

Survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra K. (Shroyer) Bush, whom he married, June 26, 1970; a son, Ryan S. Bush of Ridgley, WV; grandchildren, Benjamin, Addison, Jackson, Carter, Mallorie, Brooklyn, and Sydney Bush; daughter-in-law, Jessica Bush; sisters, Jeannette DuVall and husband Donald of LaVale, Adele Mays and husband Ross of Buffalo Mills ad several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bush served in the US Airforce during Vietnam. He retired after 22 years as a  Pennsylvania State Trooper at the Chambersburg Barracks. He also worked for the Federal Marshall Service in Harrisburg and the Franklin County Sheriff Department in Chambersburg. He was a member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church, Hyndman Londonderry Lions Club, board member of the Hyndman Area Health Center. Golf and Steelers football were is passion. His friendly personality and big smile made him a stranger to no one. We will miss his crazy sense of humor and quick wit, and his dedication to family and friends.

Friends will be received at the Ellerslie United Methodist Church 14309 Temple St., Ellerslie, MD on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m. where a funeral service will follow with Pastor Sandy Hetz Burchell officiating.

Burial at Hyndman Cemetery with military honors by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
