Curtis Ray Diehl, 67, of Hyndman, finished his time on earth December 12, 2023 at Ruby Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

He was born December 6, 1956, in Charleston, WV. Curtis spent his life dedicated to being a great husband, father, pappy, brother, uncle and friend to all. He is survived by his wife of 32 years (42 together) Dee Diehl, son, Levi Diehl and wife Chasity, daughter, Mazy Logue and husband Jordan, grandchildren Brynlee Deneen, Kayslee, Natalee and Darlee Logue, Wyatt Ellsworth, Easton, Lannon and Charlene Diehl; sisters, Etta Helmstetter and Dora Stranathan; brothers, Davy Diehl  and Jimmy Holbrook, mother-in-law, Norma Shaffer; and a mass of nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends too many to count but loved just the same.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Diehl; mother, Anna Pate; sister, Kay Kendall; brother, Frankie Holbrook; nephew, Jimmy Matry and father-in-law, Donald “Boo” Shaffer who was also his father figure.

Curtis was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends. He was a truck driver by trade where he kept his co-workers on their toes. Curtis never met a stranger, always had a joke, was Norma’s favorite son-in-law and was the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) aggravator. He will be missed by all and will one day meet Dee around the world again. Whoop! Whoop!

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, PA on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. The family will welcome friends following the services at Kennells Mill Sportsman’s Club where Curtis was a lifetime gold member.
