Darlene Marie (Emerick) Shroyer, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday evening October 14,2019 at her home.

Born March 25, 1932 in Corriganville, MD; a daughter of the late Norman Earl Emerick and Helen Marie Emerick. She was the oldest of five children. Also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carl Shroyer; twin sons who died at birth, a brother, Earl L. Emerick, and a sister, Helen “Elaine” Walls.

Survived by a brother, Kenneth M. Emerick and wife Jeannie, of Wellersburg; a sister, Carolyn L. Flood and husband James of Derwood, MD; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece who she considered a daughter, Connie L Bishop and husband Daryl and their son, Kyle L. Bishop, who was the light of her life.

Darlene was a lifelong member of Fairhope Community Church, Fairhope PA

Darlene lost her father at a young age and helped raise her younger siblings.  She was diligent in all her work, a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing.

Friends will be received at Bible Gospel Church, 4866 Hyndman Rd., on Friday October 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the church on Saturday October 19 at 11 a.m. with the Pastor James Swauger officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery.
