Derrick Tyler Sisk, 28, of Ellerslie, passed away August 14, 2018.

Born June 18, 1990 in Cumberland; he was the son of Michelle Sisk and Richard Helmick. His father precedes him in death.

Derrick enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his pap. Derrick had a big heart and would do what he could to help you. He was his pap’s right-hand man. Derrick was a graduate of Mountain Ridge High School. He had been a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club, Piney Mountain and Ellerslie Outdoor Clubs. He had worked at Rocky Gap, Hunter Douglas and he cut trees on the side.

The love of his life was his daughter, Karly Marie Sisk. She was his pride and joy.

He is also survived by fiancé, Brandy Lowery and her children, Brandon, Adalynn, Brinley and Karly. He loved them and they thought of him as “Dad”. He also leaves behind grandparents, Kenneth and Marie Sisk, Ellerslie, Donald and Pat Helmick, Hyndman; Uncle Brian Sisk and Aunt Lori Sisk and cousin, Ty Sisk all of Ellerslie and numerous other aunts uncles and cousins.

He had a battle that he could not overcome, but now he is free. The suffering is over.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 5 to 8 pm

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 am with Pastor Caleb Shaffer officiating.

Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery
