Dewey G Emerick, 85, of Buffalo Mills, formerly of Hyndman, passed away November 2, 2023.

Born November 30, 1937, in Fairhope, PA; son of the late Ira and Carrie Emerick; preceded in death by brothers, Francis and Homer Emerick, sister, Maretta Mayhew.

Survived by a daughter, Lisa Ackerman and husband Mark of Buffalo Mills; sons, Richard Emerick of Ebensburg, Leslie Emerick of Corriganville, Jody Emerick and wife Deana of Cumberland, a stepson, Jerry Ranker and wife Denise of Hillsboro, MO; brother, Roger Emerick, sisters, Janet Musgrove and Minnie Lightcap; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dewey worked as a mechanic for the Celanese Corp and at local auto garages. He also worked at the Shoe Factory and did construction. He was a member of Comps Church.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Monday, November 6, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery.
