Hyndman, PA -Dolores G. Korns, 90, of Hyndman passed away Saturday October 3, 2020, at the home of her daughter Lorna where she has been living for the past 6 years.

Born April 26, 1930 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Eugene S. and Faye (Wertz) Shaffer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Korns in 2016; a sister, Ada Jean Shaffer; a brother, James Shaffer, and a grandson, Shawn Farley.

Survived by children, Warren Korns and wife Darla of Meyersdale, Deena Rice and husband Allen of Cumberland, Lorna Hart and husband Bruce of Hazle Township, Annette Knotts and husband Don of Hyndman; seven grandchildren, Gale, Kevin, Renee, Megan, Glen, Sarah, and Jason; six great grandchildren, Aidan, Easton, Gavin, Noah, Carmen, and Colt; brother, John Shaffer and wife Ida of Hyndman, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church in Wellersburg. Dolores enjoyed traveling and really enjoyed her most recent trip to California in 2018. She enjoyed word search puzzle books.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dave Klink officiating. Per state mandate, masks and social distancing are recommended.

Burial will follow at Cooks Cemetery, Hyndman.
